LEVEL 53 LAVASTORM MOUNTAINS

Begin the quest by speaking with Minastickie in Lavastorm (SE). She tells you she's found a paper which she believes is part of a map to a powerful scepter. To learn more, she asks you to visit Professer Cyrk in Freeport.

Cyrk can be found by the mages guild. He says that he cannot read the paper because his glasses are broken and to fix them, he needs the sand from a Sand Wasp, found in South Barren Coast (C) (E) or (NE). They con yellow to a 53 and are not difficult to kill. However, their spawn time is approx: 1-3 hours. After returning the sandy carapace to Cyrk he confirms Mina's belief. He then sends you back to Minastickie who tells you there have been a number of strange sabotages lately and asks you to visit Exploring Aid Mixxa in Klick'Anon to learn more.

Exploring Aid Mixxa and is located close to the bridge in the entrance of Klick'Anon. He asks you to defeat an Ancient Eel, in the sea in Rogue Clockworks (SE). Look for a small island due east from the shore. It can be found swimming in that area or further south.

The eel cons yellow to a 53, casts a poison DoT, and nukes for 800. Its spawn time is also similar to the Sand Wasp. It is recommended you bring help for this part of the quest.

Return to Explorer Aid Mixxa with the loot. He tells you more about the sabotage and asks that you to return to Minastickie. Minastickie then sends you back to Prof.

Prof. Cyrk is still having trouble reading a section of the map and needs two items to make it clearer. He requires a cleaning solution from a merchant in Hagley, and the venom sack from a Swampfire Cobra, in South Toxxulia. The merchant can be found in the town of Hagley near the well in the NW section of the town. He sells the solution for 7,006.

A Swampfire Cobra can be found in South Toxxula (N) and (NW). The mobs have a nasty Pr DoT, are resistant to magic and have high Ac. You may have to also kill a few before one drops the venom sack. Bring the two items back to Prof.

The partially restored map reveals the location of another portion of the lost map. That piece, he says can be found in Yavreh's Sanctuary.

The sanctuary is located in South Barren Coast (C). The mobs inhabiting the sanctuary are the Ty'Rizeth. When you Approach the entrance you will receive a pop-up. Watch out for the Guardians as they cast and can be difficult to defeat if you are soloing. They con dark blue too a level 54. PR/DR and AR work well against them.

Once inside the sanctuary, you will pass a door to your left. A pop-up will inform you that the map is inside. The mob you seek is the Ty'Rizeth Scout. If it has not up, its place-holder is the Artasan standing behind the fire pit. It is the third mob from the left, second from the right. Defeat all other mobs, leaving that single spawn open. The scout is not difficult and only melees. After killing the scout, return the piece of map to Cyrk.

Cyrk restores the missing map piece and informs you that he knows where the final two pieces of the map can be found. The first is back in Yavreh's Sanctuary. The second is in Geomancer's Citadel.

Return to the Sanctuary. Invis and head towards the bodyguards. The Scavenger's place-holder is a Guardian standing in the small alcove. If you are having difficulty finding the right room, again refer to this map, here!

Next, go to Geomancer's Citadel. The mob you seek is the Ancient Drudge. It can be found roaming in various parts of the zone. If you are unable to invis, bring enough invis rings to avoid aggroing any roamers. The Ancient Drudge's spawn time is about 4-5 hours. It cons yellow to a level 53 and has a nuke of about 750. It also has the capability to heal itself. Undead nukes work well against it.

After you have acquired both sections of the map, return to Professor Cyrk.

Having completed the map, Cyrk gives you a note which he asks you to give to Minastickie. Return to Minastickie to collect your reward.
